Asia Pacific LNG (APLNG)
I specified 192 lithium (LiFePO4) 48VDC systems with BMS for APLNG, including thermal modelling for high-temperature cabinet environments — the first large-scale LiFePO4 DC power deployment in Australian LNG.
About EthosPower
Nearly four decades of power systems engineering across ABB, ExxonMobil, and major LNG projects. Now I apply that same discipline to AI solutions for the energy sector.
My Story
I didn't learn about energy from a textbook. I designed standby power for billion-dollar LNG projects. I was ABB's sole global UPS specialist, overseeing US$500M+ annually in critical power systems. I kept airport radar running when failure wasn't an option.
That experience shapes every AI solution I build. When I automate a workflow or deploy a custom agent, I think like an engineer: reliability, safety margins, graceful degradation, documented procedures.
EthosPower isn't a tech startup learning energy on the job. It's an engineering consultancy that happens to be very good at AI.
Reference Projects
From LNG megaprojects to Pacific Island grid stabilisation to AI-powered engineering tools — a selection of projects spanning nearly four decades.
I specified 192 lithium (LiFePO4) 48VDC systems with BMS for APLNG, including thermal modelling for high-temperature cabinet environments — the first large-scale LiFePO4 DC power deployment in Australian LNG.
I led DC/AC UPS engineering for Zone 1 hazardous-area switch-rooms on the Kipper Tuna Turrum gas-conditioning plant — explosion-proof design review, Ex-rated equipment selection, FAT witnessing.
I was ABB's sole DC/AC UPS Systems Specialist — responsible for every standby power design across ABB's worldwide project wins. Battery qualification across VRLA, LiFePO4 and NiCd; BMS and thermal verification.
I delivered UNEP-funded consulting and training for two Pacific Island environment ministries on Stockholm Convention NIPs — POPs management, renewable energy programme reporting, on-island training.
I engineered ICAO safety-critical standby DC power for landing radar across Australian airports, and trained 30 field-service engineers on LiFePO4 — no-fail infrastructure, documented down to the cell.
I established a new hybrid power business unit, built the IEEE 485 cloud sizing tool, and delivered prompt engineering training to the team. Strategy, coaching, tooling, O&M manuals — full zero-to-one stand-up.
I designed, built and deployed this site — Next.js 15 / Cloudflare Workers with a RAG knowledge assistant over 2,400+ documents, a 6-agent development pipeline, and 15+ MCP integrations.
I built an IEEE 485 battery sizing tool and EN 50272-2 hydrogen venting calculator on Cloudflare Workers / D1 / R2, with Stripe payments and multi-tenant deployment. Four decades of battery engineering as software.
Principles that guide how I work with clients and approach every engagement.
Aiming to be of genuine service to clients and their organizations, not just delivering outputs.
Direct communication, realistic project assessments, and transparent pricing. No hype, no inflated promises.
Delivering projects in ethical ways that strengthen local human capacity and leave lasting benefit.
Honouring the socioeconomic structures and cultural contexts of the countries where I operate.
